Who I am
I thought I'd be an architect growing up because I always had an innate sense for spaces. Then I discovered graphic design and pivoted my passion, pursuing a BFA degree. I was fortunate to work at a product design company during college, and it was there that I began my career in product development. After college, I diversified my experience at a variety of design-driven wholesale and retail leaders in the home and gift consumer goods industry—including places like Restoration Hardware & Pottery Barn.
During my 30 years in product development, I've honed my strengths in strategy and execution—and my blend of creative drive and analytical acumen has provided the foundation for those strengths. Over that time, I've developed for a wide range of categories, including beverage-ware, tabletop, decorative accessories, hard-goods and soft-goods accessories, and furniture. My career eventually evolved into senior leadership roles & high-level consulting work that focuses on navigating the fast pace of consumer trends, leading high performing multi-disciplinary teams, driving the product lifecycle, and leveraging manufacturing capabilities to deliver profitable results.
No matter what I'm developing, I see everything through an aesthetic lens—how the details, the visual and tactile qualities of spaces and products can make someone feel, how the aesthetics can enhance the experience. I've devoted my career to mastering the processes that bring those aesthetics to life, and I'm a little addicted to the magic that happens when all the talent, critical elements and capabilities align to create great product.
